Organoleptic characteristics:
• NOSE: spices (cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, tobacco), cherry, strawberry, wood
• MOUTH: medium acidity, cherry jam, berries, cinnamon, cloves, chocolate and soft tannins
• AFTERTASTE: long and exuberant with notes of cherry and sweet spices
• Food pairings: rich, aromatic meats like lamb, partridge, quail, hare, wild boar. Perfect with cheese like edam gouda and blue cheese such as gorgonzola and cold cuts like mortadella and pate.Also with aromatic poultry with fatty and spicy red sauces
• Important information about the wine: Aging potential 10-15 years in bottle. The wine is the ambassador of our winery as it is the first wine bottled in 1993 at the winery. The name of Kratistos is attributed as the strongest, the strongest in Homer’s Iliad etc. adjectives that undoubtedly characterize its taste profile.
